How to Donate

Your donation to Boulder Friends Meeting helps to support this Meeting, its charitable work, compassionate action in our local community, and projects of Friends around the world.  Like most Friends meetings, we do not take collections during worship.  Our members and attenders choose to contribute in other ways, both financially and through service activities.

We rely on donations to our General Fund to cover over 80% of our budget.

To earmark your donation for a specific project or the General Fund, enter the name as a memo on your check .

Donations to Boulder Friends Meeting are tax deductible, and donations of $100 or more are acknowledged by mail once a year in January.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration and generosity.

Ways To Donate

By Mail – Contributions may be sent to the Treasurer, Boulder Friends Meeting, 1825 Upland Ave., Boulder, CO 80304.   Make checks payable to “Boulder Friends Meeting.”

Contribution Box – There is a box for contributions on the table just outside the Meeting Room.

Online Check Writing – Your personal bank or credit union may offer free online bill pay services, allowing you to make individual donations online or set up automatic payments to be sent on a regular basis.

Donations of appreciated stock or qualified charitable distributions from an IRA may offer tax advantages – IRS rules are complex, and donors who wish to take advantage of these options are advised to consult with a qualified financial advisor.

Stock donations may be made through Friends Fiduciary, a Quaker non-profit organization that provides investment management services to Boulder Friends Meeting. For Stock Gift Instructions click here.

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is paid directly from an IRA to a qualified charity. Depending on your circumstances, QCDs may exclude the amount donated from taxable income and also count toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) for the year. Consult with your IRA administrator to see if this service is offered.
