July 24, and our Quaker meeting house still stands in silence as the pandemic continues.  In front, one huge dumpster continues to block the view.  A new light has been installed beside the front walk near the street.  The driveway is weedy but the lawn is mowed and the roses are still blooming.  A lovely patch of Shasta daisies blooms in the back yard playground.

Friends are invited to help with yard work on their own time, so contact Sara Williams-Mann if you’d like to offer help.

At the new mansion next door, the front hedge and basic landscaping appear to be completed.  Across the street, workers rush to finish the new Crestview School playground before school starts in August.  Large new play structures have sprouted and multiplied.  Carefully placed rocks suggest pathways for children through a potential garden.  So our children can look forward to weekend fun when we are able to return!
